Originally from Chicago, I bring a Midwestern blend of authenticity, humor, and straightforward communication to everything I do. I’m detail-oriented and highly organized, with a focus on delivering quality results. Colleagues and clients know me as direct and relatable—someone who values clarity, real connection, and a touch of humor to keep things grounded and human. I moved to California in 2008 to pursue my doctorate degree in Forensic Psychology and I've been practicing as a Licensed Clinical and Forensic Psychologist since 2014. I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my practice. I spent more than eight years at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), much of that time inside the state’s supermax facility, working daily with California’s most dangerous — and most complex — offenders. After that, I spent six years in leadership with the Department of State Hospitals (DSH), focused on the Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) population. I moved from managing jail-based competency treatment (JBCT) programs statewide to serving as Assistant Chief Psychologist, where I developed and rolled out the new Early Access and Stabilization Services (EASS) program to jails in 57 of California’s 58 counties. Eventually, I became Chief Psychologist, directing both JBCT and EASS programs while also helping launch diversion initiatives across the state. Alongside that system-level work, since 2020 I’ve maintained a small private practice, providing individual therapy to community clients — a welcome change of pace to keep my sanity intact. Now, as part of my practice, I also serve on numerous county court panels as an expert forensic evaluator, contributing to the justice system with my expertise.
